The bezel of this extremely rare Submariner Date is adorned with 27 dark blue baguette sapphires, 11 baguette-cut diamonds at the hour markers, and a triangle-cut diamond at 12 o’clock.
Though it certainly extends beyond the classic tool watch, this diamond-adorned timepiece retains its functionality. The first 9 sapphires are a lighter blue, representing a classic diving bezel graduated for decompression time. The case and crown guard are enriched with 92 brilliant-cut diamonds.
This Rolex Submariner Date Ref. 116659SABR features approximately 3.90 carats of sapphires and a total of 1.72 carats of diamonds, all carefully selected and set by the Rolex gemology laboratory.
